Ridley, John
Dean of Spiritual Development and Activities,
World Geography and Bible Teacher

Born and raised in Albany, GA, I am grateful for my Christian family and heritage. I professed faith in Christ at the age of 8 and was baptized soon after. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in History from Georgia Southwestern State University and a Master’s of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 1994, I married Julie, a native of East Cobb, and we have two daughters. Our oldest graduated from JFCA and is a student at Kennesaw State University. Our youngest is a high school student at JFCA. I consider it a privilege to help students and their families grow in their faith. Over the years I’ve have served students of various ages from middle school to graduate school in both church and school settings. Prior to arriving at JFCA in 2014, I served as student life associate at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (Atlanta Campus) and as director of the Baptist Campus Ministry at East Carolina University. When I’m not working, I enjoy hanging out with my family, playing fetch with my dog, and attending Atlanta United matches. We are members of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.
