I am a veteran high school English teacher with a Masters degree and a current GA teaching certificate. After teaching in public schools in two different states, as well as in Georgia at Roswell High School and Oglethorpe University, I began teaching home educated students just after my daughter was born in 1994. I have been teaching at JFCA and working as the Academic and Athletic Associate since 2014.

As a home-school mom and an educator, I understand the needs of students and their parents on a personal as well as a professional level. I enjoy partnering with parents and offering my expertise in analytical writing and literature discussion through a biblical worldview. My goal is to prepare students for the SAT’s and to insure the necessary writing skills and higher level thinking needed for success in college.

Above all, my passion is for my students to taste many types of literature and apply the themes to enrich their lives. My life verse is from 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
